I'm in the process of testing an iPad solution and I came across of a problem that I cannot explain the reason.

 

When i touch a number field, the number keyboard pops up but when I touch number, I got an error message telling me that : This element is not editable because it is already being edited in another window.

 

 

This field is not located in an other table.

 

Any idea?

Check the window icon upper left to see if their e is another window or layout open. The field may be on another layout in another "window" and the record is still open. i.e. not committed.

My two cents.

If you continue to experience this issue, you can close your FileMaker and reopen it.

I started from scratch with the same layouts, programming and it works. From I can see, iPad solutions are very, very sensitive in some ways I cannot figure out.
