For the life of me I can not figure this out:

I am trying to extract some meta data from a Wordpress MySQL database and I want to create a script that trims before the data and after the data I want to extract. I have been able to create a script that trims data from before the data I want to retrieve and after the data I want to retrieve, but not both.

Your question is not clear. The word "trim" has a very specific meaning in Filemaker - I guess you mean something else. Why don't you explain your need in more detail and provide an example or two?
