December 26, 201411 yr I'm a novice with databases generally, and FM in particular. I understand relationships in FM from a basic level. However, how to leverage them within FM, and how to set them up properly, is something I'm still learning. My relationship graph in the DB I'm creating, for instance, is a bit ugly. Further, design choices I made a few months ago are not the same that I'm making today. I'd like to accelerate the learning process by perhaps picking up a book, or reviewing another resource, regarding FM relationships. Do any such resources exist?
December 26, 201411 yr can't go wrong with this one: http://www.nightwingenterprises.com/Resources/approaches_to_graph_modeling_en.pdf But take your time with it and revisit often.
December 27, 201411 yr Author That's a great article. At a minimum, I have realized what I considered chaos is notsomuch.
December 31, 201411 yr We spend a lot of time talking about relationships in our video training course... including Anchor Buoy Design Methodology... which is great for people to learn. The videos are animated... and highly rated. $39.99 - RIchard www.learningfilemaker.com
