Nico Kobes Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 We are going to deploy a new Filemaker Server 12 on Mac OS 10.9 We want to take our time with this to set it up correctly. Is it a good way to setup the new server completely and then at the end change the ip address to the right one? (after taking done the old one) We are also using IWP.
Wim Decorte Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Sounds like you should be using DNS names, that way you can point the name to the new IP address instead of having to fiddle with the IP address. But yes; you can change it. Completely stop FMS through otherwise before you change the IP address.
