Hammerton
Greetings all. Sorry to return with a Question rather than an answer.... Set-up: Box 1 6100/300 running OS9.1, webstar4.1 and the webserserver connector plugin; Box 2 8500/300 running OS9.1 and FMPU5.0 with WC5.0v6 FMPU5.0 crashes occasionally and I can't seem to figure what events are triggering it. I am logging everything, webstar, the connector, and FMPU. The only hints come from the FMWSC log. I get stuff like the messages below. I assume that the end-of-file messages are for finds that did not return results, but what's the deal with the open transport errors? TIA xxx_.fp5 service restored yyy_.fp5 service restored zzz.fp5 service restored yyy_.fp5 Unexpected end of file from server yyy_.fp5 temporarily removed from service yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy_.fp5 temporarily removed from service yyy_.fp5 Unexpected end of file from server zzz_.fp5 Unexpected end of file from server zzz_.fp5 temporarily removed from service zzz.fp5 Unexpected end of file from server yyy.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused xxx.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused xxx.fp5 temporarily removed from service yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused ooo_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused ppp_.fp5 temporarily removed from service yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused yyy_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused zzz_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused zzz_.fp5 OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused ppp_.fp5 permanently deleted from service FMWSC Error: java.io.IOException: (error: -50) java.net.ConnectException: OpenTransport error -3260; connection refused FMWSC Error: java.io.IOException: (error: -50)
Garry Claridge
Is 'yyy_.fp5' OK? It maybe corrupt. About the only thing I can think of All the best. Garry
The Bridge
You might want to take a look through the access.log to see what the last completed action was. To make this a little easier, change all of your Post actions (in your forms) to Get. You'll want to change those Gets back to Posts when you're done testing. Hope this helps. Hammerton
Thanks Guys. I'll try those things. Garry, it seems that ocassioally when the crash occirs the yyy.fp5 file is damaged. I recover it, then it gets damaged again. At the moment that datafile is the most active so I don't know if damage to it is because it is in use when something bad happens, or i it something about the file? I'll keep after it. Dr.J.
