java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am using the Supercontainer plugin vs 2.896  to upload pictures to SuperContainer and that script has stopped working and I get error messages like:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class java.net.SocksSocketImpl

2015TIFF/88988

/E:/InfomaticsIII/TCM[untitled]_2015033009341800_001.tif

I understand that the Windows server 2011 machine is updated to Java 8 update 40, has that something to do with this?

Best regards,

Ruben

Hi Ruben,

Did the script stop working after the Java update? Our plugins do require that a 32-bit version of Java be installed. Make sure you have one installed.

On another note, 2.896 is a pretty old version of the plugin (released in January 2013). We are currently on 2.899 which is on a new framework and contains several updates and bug fixes. I see from your profile that you are using FM10. While we do not officially support our plugins with FM10 or below, the new version *should* work fine with 10. If you decide to update, do not delete the 2.896 version . Simply remove it from the folder and replace it with 2.899 . That way if anything goes wrong or does not work you can put the older version back.

I suspect the issue is with the java update so be sure to check that first before you update the plugin.
