What font type is identified as "Developer font"?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

what font type would be identified as a "Developer font", means a font mostly used by developers (not limited to a Language or Product).

I just need something which looks… not too geeky but can be associated with code.

Anyone? TIA!

For applications like terminals and code blocks, a monospace font is typically preferred.   Everything lines up nicely, which is desirable with multiple lines of code.  Monospace fonts are also used for forms/printouts that require a fixed-width field/row to print correctly on the original form, like the HCFA1500 or several government forms.

All around, I prefer the Monaco font for coding.
