Hi 

I am designing a layout that displays different records and they will vary in how many lines are shown. The each section is separated by date as the factor for displaying each record. Under each date there maybe be just one field with several records or two or three fields with many records displaying with both. So if I just used a line to the left of each field block but the date section was higher on the left of the report it would leave a gap at the bottom. I thought maybe to make it so there is never any gaps I could use the line tool. But it is always at a fixed height. I have had a play around and cannot seem to make it so it auto adjusts with what records are shown. Am I playing around trying to get it to auto adjust and this feature in fact does not exist. Or is there another way to make my report look neater with vertical lines and not using the field left line option.

It might help to post a picture of the report itself to get a better idea of how to optimize it.
