how prevent a user to access outside network ??

Featured Replies

Hello , i want to know how to restrict specific users to access databases from outside the company network? all our databases are hosted on fmserver .

we need only the admin can access outside network ,

please let me know

thank you

Setup a VPN only users that are credentialed to the VPN would gain access to the internal network to access the FMS externally.

Alternatively if your FMS has a domain name or public facing IP address (hopefully you have SSL setup and configured as well) You can test on login the users ip address if it doesn't match the company's network and they are not allowed to access the system remotely then present a warning and exit the database.

Second the recommendation for the VPN.  Just be sure to give it enough bandwidth for whoever is supposed to have access.
