Mark Appleby Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Can anyone tell me what is the smallest barcode font available without too many restrictions that can be reliably scanned. Also can anyone tell me where I can download it.
LiveOak Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Barcode fonts are available from a variety of vendors. The better ones you must pay for and they are fairly expensive, maybe $150-300 per font. Take a look at www.adams1.com as a resource and wwww.riversedge.com for fonts. You can also scale barcode fonts to some degree, but perform testing with the scanner you intend to use. For your label application, don't run off and purchase Code 39, it is not the most compact symbology. Instead, take a look at Code 128 or Interleaved 2 of 5. -bd
