Bailey Kessing Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) I have heard that tabs on the a layout can really impact performance when using WebDirect as all the info in each tab has to be rendered even when the tab isn't displayed (correct?). How about when using the client? Is this the case with the FM application? Do many tabs with, say portals on them, impact performance in the same way? Or are those tabs only rendered when selected using the client application? Edited November 10, 2015 by Bailey Kessing
Wim Decorte Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 There has been some conflicting information over the years. But at one of the Devcon "under the hood" sessions it was clearly said that portals on tabs do incur a performance cost even when they are not displayed. It is usually one of the first things I take make developers take out when a solution starts to suffer. 2
