FileMaker System Font - Data Viewer showing wierd characters

Featured Replies

I am having a weird issue going on that is best explained with pictures...

In the data viewer, and even see it under Manage Database, there is a weird font appearing.   It replaces the hyphen and underline with a box looking character.

Normally I wouldn't care too much, but when I use the field value and past into a calculation, It seems to take the box character and not hyphen.

This means if I try to pass the Contact_id in some sort of html web viewer call, it won't work.  It passes "1234box character and not 1234-"

Please look at the pictures, it makes it much more clear what is going on.

Has anybody seen this?  It just started happening so I am thinking some sort of xml file for Filemaker was corrupted.

Everything that is affected is admin kind of things, not places where I can edit for the theme.

Here is another picture showing the strange font.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled FileMaker - that didn't fix it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks..I tired but it didn't fix it.

It looks like you are either missing a font, or the font is corrupted. Unfortunately, I don't know what font FM uses internally.
