I have a layout with a summary report, the report breaks on the Category field. The layout resorts whenever the Category changes in a record. I would like the focus to stay on the record that had the Category change, instead of going to the top of the layout.

The idea is that you script the sorting action, memorize the record before the sort command and restore it through a relationship afterwards.

You would have to test this against your scenario though, because I'm suspecting that other factors are interfering. I say this, because FileMaker generally stays on the same record, even when sorting. In short, I would have to know more about your exact setup...
