dkey Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) I imported several hundred movies The filepath field apper as as such file://Cleaner/Shadow 2016/ProRES HQ files/09-XII PRORES/MVI_0025-Apple ProRes 422 HQ.mov How can I create a script to open the Quicktime movie using QuicktimePlayerPro7 and setting the View to half size? I tried "openURL" but it gives me nothing. I dont need to export anything just to be able to see them, possibly in my second monitor (but this is not essential) Regards Edited February 27, 2016 by dkey
MonkeybreadSoftware Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 you could create an AppleScript which takes URL, converts to path, opens the file and tells QuickTime player to play it. But why not simply play in the container field?
dkey Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Thanks I didn't import the movies nor their references. The database with several film tecnical fields comes from a tab file from another software returning the file path as quoted in my question. I need to see the films in quicktime for a variety yet significant reasons for the job i am doing but I am not skilled enough to write the script I hope to find a script I could use for this purpose .... any suggestions?
