schedule solution

Featured Replies

has anyone seen a schedule program? we are doing alarm instalations and we need to book dates and times for installers. basicly we need to have the installers give us their dates that they are available. then when talking to the customer we schedule them with what is available. also then we would like to create reports that will have each installer's dates and times.

all the help that we can get would be great.

You'll find a couple of scheduling packages here:

(scroll down to find SchedulePro 5.0 and Staff Schedule )

You could probably set this up with a "date-time" file, where each record is a day or part of a day for each installer. That is, if you have 10 installers, you'll have 10 records for each day, or if you break your day into 4 time slots, you'll have 40 records. This setup won't add a lot of overhead to your system, since you probably don't schedule anything more than a couple of weeks out, and you can just delete the old records every day, there's not much point to saving them.

Anyway, you could Go To Related Records (by date) from the customer/scheduling file, or show the available dates/times/installers in a portal.
