I got a list of 700 members. I programmed an icon that sorts the Date field in a descending order. When I sort the field, it works for about 350 records ... no more than that. I changed for an ascending order and it still messes up.

I have other icons that sort other fields. They work with no hassle. What is wrong with the Date field?

Any idea?

When you perform a sort, it only sorts the found set. Could that be the problem?

The first part of the list is sorted and the last part isn't.

I can't believe it. How the program can sort haft of the list?

How are your dates stored: are they in a "Date" field or in a text field?

Check exactly what the sort order is.

This sounds strange... check your FMP version and update to the latest patch level (it's free) from the FileMaker Inc web site http://www/filemaker.com/
