pedrof Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Whenever I Edit a configuration (i.e. generate a new MirrorSync Script), do my remote clients have to download a new copy of the database before they can sync, or does it not matter?
Jesse Barnum Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 It depends on what kind of changes you make. For things like adding new fields, old clients will be able to sync OK. For adding new tables, old clients will also be able to sync OK but there was a bug in 2.507 that prevented that; let me know if that's the case and I'll post a version with that fix. Changing sync direction is fine. If you're changing which fields are used for primary keys or modification timestamps, or you're switching between MirrorSync-managed and developer-managed keys, you will need to distribute new offline files.
