Hi Filemaker does not like records that are identical you need to create an ID field for each record that is unique . so if soups is a category it would always be set to a certain ID. ALSO when you create the list above where soup is listed twice this list also needs unique IDS . so soup would be Id 2 and id 3 you can then search for recipes by doing a find request for each entry but attach or relate the recipients by the corresponding Id# and not the word soup .

I don't believe you can see portal information in table view . only in list of form view .
