  1. I am also seeing this problem with Lion OS (10.7.5) and FileMaker 11.0v4. I will post to http://forums.filema...a103f05/summary.
  2. Hello newbie, I am also trying to trouble shoot an issue with a Windows server and SC 2.852, however I have been running SC for many years now and can tell you that you do not need to mount the remote volume. You did not say what your exact issue is, but what I am seeing after updating to 2.852 is this: After upgrading, if I view SuperContainer web viewer from a user machine the web viewer displays this message: HTTP Status 500 - FileMaker Server has encountered an error: The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.... However if I launch a FileMaker client from the FileMaker Server, go Hosts/ FM Server and open the file, now the images display properly with no error. This has happened AFTER Java updates on both our local machines and I believe the server as well - I am trying to verify that with IT.
  3. Hello, I am exploring a way to send exported files from FileMaker Server into Group Logic's "Mass Transit" - Has anyone used FTPeek with Mass Transit? Thanks, Andrea
  4. Thanks Steven, I found your article after my post - I will give that a try and get back. Best, Andrea
  5. Hello, I am having pretty much the same issue - Server-run FileMaker scripts designed to move data from one data base to another. The Scripts run when manually set off; all of the steps say they are 'server compatible' however, the data never moves. On Nov. 1 it stopped sending 'script completed successfully' messages and when checked and the Script was stuck in "running" status. Any ideas would be appreciated!
  6. My users need to add about 4000 images to our Image Archive which is running on Server 10 Advanced / Windows 2003 Server. They want to import all images at the same time and after awhile the process slows to about 1 image per minute. With smaller batches, it runs at about 9 to 10 images per minute. My question(s): Why does it slow down? Is there anything that can be done about that? Is there a recommended "batch" size for image imports. We are planning a restart of the server this evening to see if that will have any effect. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Andi
  7. Seems that I still have problems if I run the 360 Works Script Master Plug-In at the same time as the SuperContainer Companion Plug-In.
  8. Hello, I have been experiencing FileMaker crashes recently (3 today) and I am running Snow Leopard (10.6), FileMaker 10.0v3 Advanced, SuperContainer 2.73. MacBook Pro 17" 2.8 Intel Core two Duo w/ 4 GB Ram. The error I am getting is: Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 31 Application Specific Information: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'JavaNativeException', reason: 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/plugin/javascript/webkit/JSObject' I also have older Plug-Ins which I will remove and retry. Also, I have been running "Evernote" and Dropbox recently and this seems to have cropped up since then. I'll report back. Thanks Later that same day.... Well, I have removed FMTouch_Sync v 1.8, Web.fm 10.0v1 and xDBC.fmplugin 10.0.1x1 I have also quit out of: Dropbox Evernote Thing have been very stable so far. At some point I will put things back one at a time. Thanks for the tip! A
  9. Hello - I have an issue with users on machines where they do not have admin rights. We are using SC on a Windows Server with FM Server 9. My Mac users repeatedly get message like: "The publisher cannot be verified by a trusted source. Code will be treated as unsigned" and "An applet from 'SERVER' is requesting unrestricted access to your computer. The digital signature from "360 Works" has been verified." Allow or Deny Since the users do not have admin rights they cannot authorize this permanently. My question is: is there any way that I can issue a "Certificate" to authorize this access and have IT install it on all of the affected computers? In cases where the computer has admin rights this is not a problem, only for the restricted machines. Thanks, Andrea
  10. Hello, I have just had this same experience and am still in the process of rebuilding my file. Trying to rebuild my faith in FileMaker. The scenerio is: This file which is a large heavily used file has been running fine on a FileMaker 8 Server. I needed to add an element to a global field so I took it down from the server, attempted to open the file and got the message "The access privileges in this file have been damaged or possibly tampered with. Please contact FileMaker Techincal Support..." I proceeded to check my backups for this file - I had to go back 6 months to find a version that did not have this corruption. I tried a recover, to no avail. This was on a weekend and users were due in on Monday morning for a very large corporation and they run a very busy marketing department from this file. There is no emoticon that can express my feelings at this point. This file had been hosted on a FM8 Server, I tried opening it on FM9 Server, etc. I shut down the FileMaker Service and restarted it and for some reason the file opened up. I immediately ran a DDR, started documenting everything that I could think of and began rebuilding the file. That's when the email arrived telling us that the whole campus was going to lose power the next weekend and all servers would be shut down over the weekend. I contacted my FileMaker rep who said that FM should be able to recover the file. I called my premium tech support number and was told that they have seen this issue but do not have a solution for it. Also that there would be 6 week wait for FM to recover the file. I emailed my SE on Monday and heard back on Friday saying that a rebuild was my best solution. It seems that all Server Backups need to be checked on a regular basis - Daily? Weekly? I am not sure if FM Server 9 would have caught this issue sooner. This is very depressing.
