Connection Reset By Peer

Featured Replies

When a few of our clients click on a there holdings link which calls up a listing of all there holdings, there are presented with the error messsage "Connection Reset By Peer" My First thought was it was a browser issue and suggested they upgrade - they are all using now Internet Explorer 5.5SP2 - and the errors are still happening. Secondly I thought it was the amount of records being displayed but this now seems not to be the case as this was happening to people with one or thirty records.

Below is a link, if you click on sample then holdings you should see a list of holdings appear.

Thanks is advance for any help.

This is the link coppied from the url Addres: http://www.bestinvest.co.uk/portfolio1/FMPro?-db=selections.fp5&-lay=fundlist&-format=portfolioperflist.htm&type=current&famcpc==3967w0hlkn396a125|3382d49wxcia41&-token=3967w0hlkn3 96a125|3382d49wxcia41&-sortfield=invname&-max=all&-find

Dissecting out "...&type=current&famcpc==3967w0hlkn396a125|3382d49wxcia41..." it appears you are searching (performing a -find) in two fields, "type" and "fampc". Are you trying to do an exact search of these two fields? If so your code is lacking. Information on the exact search can be found at several places on this and the cdml forums. Doubt very much that this will help with the "...reset by peer" problem. Unfamiliar with that message.

Generally speaking, the error message "Connection Reset By Peer" means some kind of broken connection or long timeout.

IMHO your link lacks error trapping with error HTML/CDML page.
