Hi does anyone know of a tutorial or other instructions for connecting to Xero (cloud finance software)

You would need to interact with Xero using their developer API. You can find this at https://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/api-overview/

Whilst FileMaker 15 has limited tools for communicating with RESTful APIs it can be done using PlugIns.

The free BaseElements plugin has all the HTTP POST and GET functionality that you will need.

Sorry, I realise my answer was a bit 'brief', trying to be helpful in a hurry!

If you google 'Filemaker Xero Examples' there is loads of content posted by the community. You could try the chargeable plugin by Foundation Data at http://foundationdata.co.nz/f2x-pro-filemaker-to-xero-plugin/ if you want some pre-built functionality (rather than doing it yourself with the API).

Or there are various YouTube videos with examples, you could look at https://filemakerexamples.co.uk/blog/2016/11/13/filemaker-xero-integration/

It's been done many times before, so there are lots of examples and resources. Good luck!
