Newbies dama Posted August 30, 2001 Newbies Posted August 30, 2001 When viewing dB's over the net using the Opera (Ver. 5.12, Build 932, Win NT) browser (http://www.opera.com) both the host (Win NT) and remote PC crashes. Has anyone come across this problem and found a fix? The problem does not occur when view web-pages, only when viewing the actual dB.
Keith M. Davie Posted August 30, 2001 Posted August 30, 2001 Sorry, I'm no help. I use a Mac and have been unable to date to get Opera to download. Did notice an earlier thread of a similar problem.
Anatoli Posted August 30, 2001 Posted August 30, 2001 RE: The problem does not occur when view web-pages, only when viewing the actual dB. Q: how you can view the database in browser? In browser you can see only representation of HTML or XML text.
Newbies dama Posted September 3, 2001 Author Newbies Posted September 3, 2001 Thanks to you both. What I meant (Anatoli) was as you state, viewing the html representation of the dB - the host and PC crashes. Anyway, I have passed this problem on to Opera's tech. support section, and I'll post the reply (when/if) That said, having been a away from FM the past 7 years it is a pleasure to be using it again - now all I got to do is teach myself web publishing.
