There are some white papers, here is one that gives you the idea of the steps. You need to first bring the .fp5 files up to the .fp7 files. I'll see if I can find a link and post that in a little bit.

I'd say you have a lot of catching up to do. I suggest you read the "Migration Foundations and Methodologies" white paper that explains the major differences between version 6 and 7. That's when the real revolution occurred - the rest are just upgrades, IMHO.

If this is your gut feeling; I'd say: Yes, do it.

Starting over always give new approaches; and usually a better solution all in all.
