Alternative to FMP what would you recommend and is it easy to import from FMP?

I am using the version 15 of FMP and am looking for an alternative.  Reason being that in the past I had many complex DB’ but since I sold the business there are only a few private DB’ left that are rather simple.  IOW FMP is far to sophisticated for what I need.  On top of that I have the rather high cost of the yearly licensing and again what I need does not justify a brilliant application like FMP.

So what I am looking for is a simple DB, one where I can preferably import the FMP DB seamlessly.

Any tips or suggestions?

PS I am using a Mac version and need a Mac platform Application.

How much are you willing to pay?  How customizable does it need to be?  Do you need to be able to import from FM just once or on an ongoing basis?

How many machines? Why not just keep using FileMaker 15 on 1 machine if you are only 1 person?

If the solution you need is truly simple, try creating a runtime of your desired file.

The runtime will be single user only and may lack some newer FileMaker functions, but the data import will be easy.
