Hi

I have a. database that stores Artist's details and I wanted to be able to select dates they are booked for, but wondered if it is possible to have a calendar or something where you select several dates and they most likely will not be a range of dates that are next to each other.

Am I trying to achieve something that is not possible?

thanks

It's certainly possible, but you'd have to build it. Creating a calendar would be a challenging project for a beginner, but it would potentially be a great learning experience.

You could start with a template. There are some commercial FileMaker calendars, the most well-known being from seedcode.com. There are others that are free, such as at modularfilemaker.org.

There's a nice one here: https://community.filemaker.com/docs/DOC-8751

But it's designed to use card windows, which requires at least FileMaker version 16.

Here's another: https://community.filemaker.com/docs/DOC-8899

Here's another, but you have to be a subscriber (and you should!):

Good luck!

Thank you.. I was thinking of updating to version 16 so maybe this will be the push so I can try the card window system....

thank you for all the links above, that's really kind. I did think it might be the case of building a calendar and would be a tough one for me, but going to at least give it a go...

littlered136,

There are other examples that you might want to look at. Do a Google Search for How do you make a calendar in FileMaker Pro.

There are also videos on this too, Youtube FileMaker How do you make a calendar in FileMaker Pro
