Hi - when will SC support HEIC images?

Have you tried uploading it to a SuperContainer that is deployed as a Standalone on Mac? Only this deployment option gives SuperContainer access to CoreImage which is a Mac only image processing technology. It allows for thumbnail generation of a lot of different image file types. All other deployment types will have much more limited thumbnail generation.  If you don't get a thumbnail, there are no current plans to support this image type specifically but I can certainly add it as a feature request for future versions of SuperContainer. We also offer customization of our products. If you are interested in having us customize SuperContainer for your needs, please send an email to [email protected].

Hi Ryan

Yep - the client is running standalone and they don't get a thumbnail...

I'd say bump it up your list as it's going to be a big issue for many iphone & mac users soon!

Im unfamiliar with this file type. Do you perhaps have an example I can test with?

I just tested with a 6th gen iPad running iOS12 with the High Efficiency setting and uploaded an image I took with it to a Standalone deployment running on a Mac and got a thumbnail without an issue. Are you sure that your client's Standalone is running on a Mac?
