FMP DB Web Publish

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have successfully setup a FM Server 5.5 which my co-workers in the office can access FMP DB using FMP 5.x in a workgroup environent.

Now, I am interested on how can I share this FMP DB using a web browser? and on the internet?

I understand base on the reading of other post on this forum.. u need to have a FMP 5.x unlimited with DB file open.

Is there a way that I don't need to open the DB file using FMP 5.x unlimited but rather as a windows service running in a background similar to FMP Server is doing?

If this is not possible? how can I automatically start a DB file using FMP 5.x unlimited without log-in to a Windows 2000 Server Edition.

I am planning to to put the FMP 5.x unlimited on a Windows 2000 Server Edition system and it would be helpful that I could run FMP 5.x unlimited and open the necessary DB file to be shared to the internet without log-in to Windows 2000 SE.

FMP file MUST be open. Because files like Access are processed by routines in Windows, those files are in fact also open by Windows although Access is not running.

You can try to run FM Unlimited as service, but we didn't get reliable result.
