Is there a way to tell FileMaker to bypass/ignore the current default pdf viewer ( Adobe ) and use the default PDF viewer ( Preview ) that came with thier machine ( mac ) ?

We do not require any level of sophistication with a pdf viewer other than the required ability to print the pdf.  For some reason the clients default Adobe pdf viewer is erroring with a corrupt file message.

Thank you.

This is very confusing. If by "the current default pdf viewer ( Adobe )" you mean the Adobe component used to interact with PDF files in an interactive container field, then the answer is no. You cannot tell the FMP application to use another library. However, you can export the PDF (if it is stored internally) and open it using the Preview application.

I believe this would be set by their machine as to what application is the default when opening various file types.

Yes - we were able to get the default pdf viewer (Previewer ) to open the file but we got the same error message.  This was my initial hope that the system pdf viewer would work but nope; File corrupt unable to open - same message as before.

Spoke to a FileMaker guy in the area who said it sounds like a Font issue ( TrueType ) - provided a thread ... he also believe since it is only one computer that this individual has migrated Illustrator ( Adobe PhotoShop ) from an older machine to a newer machine when he updated  ( says it's new machine ).

We are still looking into what exactly or where exactly we need to work to fix the issue for this one computer.

Thank you.
