Show Message include CurrentFoundCount

Featured Replies

Here is what I want to do.

I have a script that finds a certain set of data. I want to have a message come up before the user prints that says how many records were found, so that they know how many records are going to print.

I was hoping that I could include a Status function in my message box, but that did not work.

Any ideas?

It's klunky, but you could use a message layout. Same Cancel, OK, etc. options, but in layout mode.

I think I heard something about FM 6 having the ability to put fields in message boxes.

I strongly suggest the Troi dialog plugin...it will make your life a lot easier. See it at www.Troi.com

I just purchased FMP6 today and haven't had a chance to install it and check it out yet. But - the machines I will be putting this on does not have FMP6 and I doubt they want to upgrade. They are spending a lot of money on other things right now.

Thanks

What I normally do is have the current founds records of total records displayed on the layout (I develop kiosk solutions mostlly) either on the print or on a layout with buttons to continue the script (to print) or cancel as the case maybe and run scripts from the buttons as appropriate
