SteveB Posted July 22, 2002 Share Posted July 22, 2002 If you are talking about changing FP5 files names internal to your solution, you need to use FM Developer. SteveB Posted July 22, 2002 Share Posted July 22, 2002 A kiosk removes all FM menus, so the developer must provide the navigation. There probably is an example on the FM Install CD. I know for sure that Developer screws up changing filenames with a kiosk. Some of the experts on the forum may know whether or not it has a problem with just changing file names in non-kiosk mode.. Kurt Knippel Posted July 22, 2002 Share Posted July 22, 2002 I use the renaming/relinking function of Filemaker Develper Tool all the time, several times per week at least and I have never had a problem. Of course I cannot vouch for the veracity of the kiosk problems since I do not use that function. Fear not on the normal renaming process, it is pretty much flawless.
