CatLady001 Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I need to copy a table from one file to another. I inadvertently deleted the table from my working file, but it still exists in a back up that I have. Is it possible to copy/export from the old file and insert/import into the working file? I've looked everywhere I can think of. Please help! I don't want to have reconstruct this table. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
comment Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 With the Advanced version, you can copy and paste an entire table (structure and data) from one file to another, using the Tables tab in Manage Database. With any version, you can import a table and select a new table as the target. This too will bring over both structure and data. Note that this will be a new table: you will need to relink layouts, relationships, references to fields in other tables, etc. 1
