August 19, 200223 yr Been working on several databases for Windoze environments and would love to force the look of Mac OS down their throats. I've found a few files - one in french, that have Mac OSX style buttons - but they are mainly just sample of aqua pill style buttons and tabs - they are great - but I want more of the printer icons, etc.. I've got lots of file of all the old FMPro common files - liek the 1000 buttons collections and such - but I'm looking for something newer. Any sugestions? Template.zip
August 19, 200223 yr Hello Bruce, If you're interested, you'll find a set of OS-X template files available for download on a shareware basis from J M Osbourne's databasepros site at: http://www.databasepros.com/solutions.html It is fairly basic, but does includes a collection of OS-X style interface graphics, which may have some of the kind of elements you're looking for...
August 19, 200223 yr Or just use interface builder with the developer tools and once you have your window looking pretty, take a screen shot -- Use photoshop or equivalent to slice and dice anything that needs it.
August 19, 200223 yr Altho I'm not a MACer, you can find professionally drawn MAC buttons and icons in the '1000 Button Series'. Go to http://www.krischesystems.com/
August 19, 200223 yr Check out http://www.layoutmode.com/ In the templates section they have a basic aqua one. I myself have taken this and added to it and use it as a templete for all my projects. I guess I can send it out as an attactment, but it needs a bit of work before I do that. Harass tomrrow and I'll put it up.

Harass tomrrow and I'll put it up. Harass. Harass. It's been almost a week! Actually, I started building a layout today based on that graphite template provided there (very nice); if you have added stuff you're willing to post, I would be *very* interested. (Of course, if I add something worth posting, I'll do the same... at the moment, I am just using what is there.)
August 26, 200223 yr Ok, ya got me. Here it is. Some notes, its a little ghetto still, its just meant as a starting point. email me if you make a cool changes that others can use. i set the font to Arial because not all computer have Lucida Grande i found out. i like feedback. enjoy
August 26, 200223 yr What I especially like in this Aqua-look demo is the way you handled to use backgrounds in the record list, with the container, and the mod;2 calculation to alternate grey white grey white and so on. May very well be this is an old trick but it brings up a lot of ideas using background colours for all sorts of identification/clarifying. Harryk
August 27, 200223 yr I used some things from layoutmode.com before, and I liked the example there. But I must say that you have done a nice job on the sample. I'm definitely gonna bite it, hope you don't mind. Also, Bruce, you don't have to shove it down our throats, Apple is doing a fine job of that themselves. Ken
September 14, 200223 yr Newbies Hi All... I'm coming in late in this thread, but I wanted to mention that Joe Obegi, who created the Aqua template on LayoutMode.com, also offers some enhanced versions of the same template as shareware at his own site: http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/wa/default?user=jhobegi&templatefn=FileSharing.html&aff=consumer&cty=US&lang=en You might download these and take a look.
September 26, 200223 yr I've made a few additional improvements on the stuff discussed above (at least improvements to me ) you can pick them up from my Starter Template in the Sample Files: http://www.fmforums.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=files&Number=46219&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
