Scrolling a calculation field.

Featured Replies

Hi Forum, and I'm sorry as I know I used to know this...lol

I have a calculation field showing results.  The results are longer than the field.
How can I scroll the field without putting a cursor in the field?  I have to allow field entry or I can't scroll.  On the desktop it puts a cursor in the field and many actions trigger an error message about '...not being modifiable'.

And of course on IOS, it pops the keyboard, and any keyboard stroke triggers the same message.

Was just wondering if anyone had a method, trick or work around.

A merge field doesn't scroll.

I did try to export field contents,  or save as PDF.  But it wasn't working for me.  Or Save as PDF into a Container, then export?

I'm sure it's simple, I'm just spinning... :)

Thanks for any pointers.

Would having the text in a PDF file solve the problem?

Thanks both.  Seems like the easiest way, but probably not fool proof, is 2 layout triggers, 1 to disable the touch keyboard on layout enter, and the other to enable touch keyboard on layout exit.
