I had a customer contact me on Saturday because his Mail just stopped working and when he tried to re-install would not accept his licence key

Have come in this morning to my office to find all three of the 360works plugins I have are not even appearing in the preferences dialog

FMP18 on Mac 12.6.7

Scribe stopped working late last week, still waiting for a reply from 360works.

The plugin is not in the Enabled Plug-Ins bin, but if you use Reveal Plug-In Folder it is there.

Attempted re-installs do not help.

This has happened to all computers in the company.

Our system is using 7 types of 360Works Plugins. Up until this morning, we've had a steady stream of users reporting plugin errors.

After testing I noticed that this user's machine when opening FileMaker Pro Advanced 17 -> Preference -> There are 2 types of Plugins not showing:
- ScriptMaster v5.3
- SuperContainer Companion v2.9516

After checking I still see them in the Extensions folder. Note they only happen to Mac OS users.

Did you guys have a similar situation and do you have any other solutions?

I tested this on one Mac... Quit FMP, deleted Scribe from Extensions folder, downloaded Scribe "Demo" version.

After un-zipping placed Scribe in the Extensions folder, opened FMP... Scribe works.

Selected Scribe in the Plug-Ins bin and clicked Configure... it shows my correct license, not "demo"

Guess we will see if this sticks.

Hope this helps all

Quick edit... this license is outside the maintenance window

Hi @DPMax,

Thanks for your information. I have tried a number of ways such as deleting FM and reinstalling, deleting the plugin and reinstalling... but it doesn't work.

Try to get the latest version they work. Or use an older version they also work. However, when returning to the current version, they are not displayed at all in the FileMaker Advanced -> Plugin tab. The weird thing is that some Macs get the error and some don't.

I talked to Ryan from 360Works, he informed me that some of their Customers are getting the same error.

Spoke to 360works support

Apple revoked a signing certificate without warning or notice, so some older versions are just cosigned to the bin of history...

And once again our Apple Overlords have done "things for our safety without warning", GO APPLE!!!

Thanks for the heads up John.

I have found for me that using the current downloadable "Demo" of Scribe worked and did use my existing (out of contract) key.

It is going on 1.5 hours, once I get past the 2 hour "Demo" window I will update this post to let all know if it is still working.

Hi All,

Some of you look to have already received this response from us but I want to post it so anyone else looking for answers/more information will have it. Please direct any further inquires to [email protected] as that is where we will be checking for issues first:

The 360Works Team has received reports from customers running very old versions of our plug-ins on macOS that the plug-ins have suddenly stopped working. We have determined that this is due to Apple revoking an obsolete 360Works code signing certificate that has not been in use for years. Unfortunately, this means that older versions of our plugins will no longer work in macOS in environments where code signing and notarization are required.

If you find yourself in this situation, with old 360Works plug-ins no longer working on macOS, here are your options:

For these plug-ins, you can purchase an upgrade to the latest version, or download and install an older version which still functions correctly:
Charts: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/charts/
Email: Upgrade to version 5 at https://360works.com/email-plugin/
FTPeek: Upgrade to version 4 at https://360works.com/ftp-plugin/
JDBC: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/jdbc-plugin/
RemoteScripter: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/remotescripter/
Web Assistant: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/url-plugin/
SuperContainer: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/supercontainer/
360Deploy: Upgrade to version 3 at https://360works.com/filemaker-deploy-versions/
OR get the older version 2.86 at https://download.360works.com/360Deploy+2.86.zip
ScriptMaster: Upgrade to version 6 (free upgrade) at https://360works.com/scriptmaster/. See below for custom-generated plugins.

For Scribe, make sure you have a current maintenance license with 360Works, then download and install the newest major version. If maintenance on your license has been expired for longer than 3 years, you will need to purchase a new license as it would be equivalent to the cost to bring to current. You can check your maintenance status at https://secure.360works.com/360Store/WebObjects/360Store.woa/wo/

For ScriptMaster-generated or custom-built plugins that have stopped working, please reach out to us as the plugins will need to be rebuilt.

MirrorSync, Zulu, and SafetyNet are unaffected by this issue, as are all plug-ins on the Windows and Linux platforms.

We sincerely apologize for these unforeseen circumstances. Please let us know if you have any questions!
