Newbies RvK Posted December 18, 2001 Newbies Posted December 18, 2001 To what extent has Filemaker 5.5 improved the online usability of scripts? I have a simple set of scripts/buttons which I would like to us for an online survey, but am wondering if I have to learn CDML or use Lasso or something or in fact whether or not Filemaker is the right application for this. Here's a basic summary of the script run by the buttons: Insert specified text into a specfic field Go to next record Go to specfic layout After going through 15 screens, the user would then come to a final screen which had the summary of the results. I would want multiple users to be using the database for the scripts at the same time. Can this be done without Lasso, CDML or something like Dragon? If not, can it be done with CDML? Obviously, I'd like to keep costs down as this is not for a commercial enterprise. Thanks very much. Rodger
Keith M. Davie Posted December 20, 2001 Posted December 20, 2001 Afaik, the ScriptMaker element of FileMaker 5.5 is a single-threaded element. The web is multi-threaded. That means that nothing has changed in this regard since FileMaker 4.0.
