Featured Replies

There is a cronic shortage of ERD software for Mac, but I've finally found an excellent program to design my dattabase with.

OmniGraffle. (OSX only)

Its got ER diagram symbols and stuff already wtih it. Very cool, good interface.

Theres quite a few other programs that are more general purpose that can be searched for on Versiontracker.com but I havn't found one close to OmniGraffle.

It has got the Falkaholic seal of Approval.

There is a chronic shortage of many different types of software for Mac (except the software you may never use but are forced to purchase along with a new Mac).

This is the problem with having so many platforms. Oh, well. Variety is the spice of something.

In other news, Tinkerbox deserves an honorible mention.

I would like to also add that the problem is mostly not Apple's fault, since software companies choose whether it is beneficial to write their apps for certain OSes. Also, software written for Macs do serve a purpose, and serve that purpose quite well.

And there are markets where Apple is not even trying...
