gwmbox
Hi again all I am not sure if this can be done via the web but what I want to do is provide a BROWSE button people can use to select a file, the field is then populated with the full directory path to that file - is this possible? Or is it possible for a user to select a file and then have it saved to a location on the web server and then the field is populated with the URL of the document - this would be much better. Garry Claridge
Greg, File uploads can not be done directly through FMP. They need to be handled by another web-server. However, it is not impossible to then update a record with the URL for that file. I have an application where users upload files; this is done with ASP and VBScript. I then store the relevent details in a persistent recordset. My next trick is to store those details in a FMP database. I will be working on that within the next few weeks. I can keep you updated on my progress if you wish. All the best. Garry [ February 27, 2002, 01:42 PM: Message edited by: Garry Claridge ]
Anatoli
Garry, please keep me also on your list for this solution. Maybe we will purchase that from you, or we can trade in our Security Filter.
