Newbies tinunga Posted November 22, 2002 Newbies Posted November 22, 2002 Hello Folks, I know that there is a tag of sorts that types in asterisks or another character, in lieu of the actual characters being typed (when the user is inputting his/her password on a web) but I can no longer find it. Does anyone know what tag (or attribute probably) to use?
balooka Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 hi hope this will help you <input type="password" name="fieldname" size="10" value="something" maxlength="25"> JP
Anatoli Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 Eddie is not bad at all. But Michael Angelo (I do not know the spelling, my son is his fan) and especially Jeff Beck are IMHO slightly better
balooka Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 hahah [off topic] Jeff Beck? I'm talking about real rock 'n roll here. Jeff Beck is uhm not all that. Who's Michael? And if you are interested in music, try Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, or when your in a silly mood, anything by John Petrucci (Dream Theater, get the live versions)... They will show you the stuff that Eddie doesn't, So in all, with those 5 you have a serious pack of guitarplayers [/off topic] JP ps. My son is still in to sesamestreet songs by Elmo and Bigbird
Anatoli Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 Well, Michael is the guy, who can switch hands on guitar vice a versa and play that way flashiest things that will make Eddie green from jealousy Or how about playing TWO guitars at once each with single hand. His V guitar has single body with two necks into V shape and is played with both hands on left or right neck or with each hand on each neck. Ozzy was scared from such playing and didn't take Michael into Ozzy's band, because it was "black magic and devil's stuff!" And pardon me, Jeff Beck INVENTED the stuff, in pre Led Zeppelin time. Jimmy Page listens to Jeff's music, and said it will never catch up, that this hard rock is too heavy for audience. Well, Jimmy was in that time recording session musician for Donovan and such middle of the road guitar stuff. And some of the Yardbirds songs have more sheer Rock energy, than Eddie
balooka Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 hahah lol The michael you refer to sounds a lot like steve Vai who does exactly the same (taught to him by Joe Satriani), you think he changed his name into mechael?? Still - I have Beck albums but I'm not impressed (but thats me). Led Zep rocks (!), but its old school rock 'n roll. It's the real thing and I collect led stuff, but as a reference to those that are still kinda active (Eddie is working on a new album now that hes cured from cancer) I still prefer those I've mentioned above. Yeah Eddie is nice - and too american too, although he's Dutch (as his brother Alex is too hehehe). Your mother?? Cool, too bad she left, we could have hooked up if you were to visit her Greets JP ps. I'll check on that Michael dude
balooka Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 update: I did a chck on micheal (www.angelo.com). He is REALLY fast, but it hardly qualifies as rock 'n roll. If you're into that kinda hammer-on axe abuse you should try Malmsteen. He's as fast (or faster) and after listening to 3 mp3's by him you want to trash your speakersystem JP
Anatoli Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Yeah, that is the guy who teaches my son few tricks and licks. Then my older son Paul gets bored with the R'n'R style of life and went to video producing. Just to explain, he is non-smoking and non-drinking guy so he didn't fit into R'n'R bands lifestyle. I know Eddie and his brother are Dutch. First time I was listened his guitar was in 1980 -- the Spanish Fly. I use to visit my mother in Ede and Arnhem when I was living in England around '90. Nice part of World.
