I have a file that is an address book and has .fp4 extension. Now we have a system with 15 files that was developed using FileMaker 6. If I install FileMaker Server 5 on the server machine and Filemaker 6 on the client machines will I have any problems with my address book.fp4 ? What will happen ? What should I do ?

You'll need to open the .fp4 file in Filemaker Pro client 5.x or 6.x and this will upgrade the file to the new format (it will prompt you to rename the file, but it is not necessary. Then you can put it on your Filemaker Server and access it with FMP 5 or 6
