crazybake Posted December 8, 2002 Posted December 8, 2002 I need some layout help for a script/subsummary report.... I have 6 fields each with a popup menu that has dates for the next month (these dates correspond to tasks). I also have a calculation field that calculates total hours. Heres my issue... If I have records which have six tasks with assigned dates (some tasks have the same dates) how can I create a report which will (1) combined the dates in six different popus so that I can create a report based on a single date and inlcude records/tasks under (2) show a record in more than one date in the summary if tasks spread over multiple dates...
Ocean West Posted December 9, 2002 Posted December 9, 2002 I would modify your data a little different. A record can not show up in two places on a sub summary report. I would sugguest you create a transaction file for dates of tasks and enter this data via a portal from your main file. In this new file you can have date and task. Then when you want to print a report you can navigate to this file and generate the sub summary you wish Each Record is a Task and a Date, therefore if you can sub summarize both ways by date then task or by task then date.
