Newbies naygrita Posted January 10, 2003 Newbies Posted January 10, 2003 ok, this may be way out of my league as a newbie. but, I will ask how to go about it anyway. I work as a booking agency. so sometimes deals fall through or are finalized. I want to keep ALL records, but records that I am done with I don't want to see them. But if I need to ever go back and look at them I want to access them. Is there a way to have active records and non-active records? in other words, when I click find all I want it to only find active records, not finished or rejected one. thanks.
kenneth2k1 Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Hi: You could use a field called status, which could be populated with "Active", "Pending" or "Retired". Then you could have three buttons labeled similarly to perform a find on this field. That way you see only records that are active, pending or retired. Ken
SteveB Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 You could also create 3 relationships based on this status field and create 3 portals that would display the three types.
Newbies naygrita Posted January 18, 2003 Author Newbies Posted January 18, 2003 thanks to both of you! that's good thinking. I think I can handle that too.
