Printing from the Web with Instant web publishing

Featured Replies

I am using Instant web publishing with FMP 6 Unlimited. I have applied all the current updaters. The system is accessed by 5-20 people at any given point.

The problem is this....

When one user accesses the information they want through a browser (IE 5.5 in this case) and uses the print button or the File>Print option to print the Web Companion generates an error "HTTP session Disconnected" and the file is no longer available for veiwing through the Web Companion. Closing and then reopening the file in FM restores the web connection. This has happened in all cases I know of where the client was printing from a browser.

I've looked through other posts and have not found this addressed before. What are the causes of the "HTTP session Disconnected" error?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Tamarin!

I had simmilar problem and it was the rights issue. Make sure your users have Browse-Print-Export rights assigned. I think that FM considers printing from the web to be "exporting" data to a printer!

give it try....
