I have a validation problem, could someone help me out?

I have one field where the person clicks in the combo box if the value is true

(for example B) I have children : X) If they checked the combo box, I want another field to appear (for example : Number of children). But if the combo box has not been clicked, I don't want the field to appear. Or in the worse case scenario, the field Number of children could always be there but editable only if the user clicked in the combo box "I have children".
