Back button implementation

Hi,

Did you ever experienced it. While doing a job, someone calls and asks for you to check your files... When the 20 minutes phone call is over...what was I doing before this phone call?

After struggling for hours with that, I just realized I could have asked first for any existing tip or experienced users that came up with a brilliant solution...or Plug-ins.

Mine seems to me very complex at the moment .

I want to :

- memorize the latest 4 movements made by one user from layouts to layouts and layouts to files. 4 clicks on the Back button will lead him to where he was*

- provide him with an utility that allows him to pause a job, do some other job/finds/prints, then come back to where he was.

* It's just that the whole business interface I'm building is a "max 4 steps db" where any datas, finds, records must be found in less than 5 steps.

Forget about if the user did some job/finds/prints in these latest 4 movements, as I'm not such a complicated guy smirk.gif

Ugo:

Look on www.databasepros.com for examples of browser button scripts. John Osborne created something similar to what you want.

Hi Steve,

Thanks. I'll go and check but I'm confident it will be of some use as it is a John Osborne file. Surprised I didn't came accross this file, as I already looked at database resources.
