blomgren Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Is there a way to make a field (i.e. "Names") to be stationary in a table while the other fields scroll horizontally?
Lee Smith Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Create a Columnar View (also called List View). Lee
danjacoby Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Lee's solution won't work -- it would if you want the other fields to scroll vertically, but not horizontally. The quick answer to your question is "no".
blomgren Posted March 25, 2003 Author Posted March 25, 2003 Okay then, if I can't keep a column in place while the other fields scroll horizontally... I wrote a script that clears the fields that I would rather scroll, however the calculations that come from those fields I can't retain. What I am trying to do is set up an attendance chart. So there are 45 weeks of data.
Lee Smith Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Oops, Sorry, horizontally = left to right - duh, Vertical = up and down. Teach me to answer a question before having my first cup of coffee.
Ugo DI LUCA Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Hi, Unless you use a selfjoin Horizontal Portal. It's exactly what I needed also. Check the third attachment in the "Horizontal Portal" thread in Sample Forum. All fields are sliding except the Customer Name....
blomgren Posted March 28, 2003 Author Posted March 28, 2003 Thank you so very much!!! This is exactly what I have been working on for days! I was just in Paris in the middle of January. It was so very beautiful! I only hope that I'll be able to return sometime in the Spring or Summer... it must be even more wonderful. Thanks again, Patricia
Ugo DI LUCA Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Hi Patricia, Paris can be beautiful when the sun shines, but makes me very depressive when the rain comes. Preferably June or July rather than March/April... Glad you found this tip useful
