jharlin
So, I have a button formatted to "Perform Find" but, no matter what I do, it only seems to go to the first record. Am I nuts? Isn't "perform find" the same as the little "Find" button on the gray sidebar?
Fitch
Do you have (Restore) turned on in the button's script? Is the button set to Continue, Pause, or Exit script? There are a few options in a Perform Find script and the ways a button can interact with a running script that do in fact make it different from continuing a Find via the status bar, and you may in fact be nuts, I need more information to be sure. danjacoby
Basically, you need a script that Enters Find Mode (without restoring) and Pauses, then Performs Find (again without restoring). Attach the script to your button. Then the button will take you to Find mode and pause so you can enter Find criteria. Upon hitting the "Continue" button in the status bar, it'll do the find. jharlin
Beautiful. It's working now. Apparently, I had to uncheck the Restore check box. Thanks for the help.
Unable
"... you may in fact be nuts, I need more information to be sure." Hey, we're talking about developing FMPro. We're all nuts. That's a given.
