Does someone for any chance know how to make the developer kioske file on the CD become an autorun when inserting the CD in the CD ROM drive ?

Sure, create a file called AUTORUN.INF

The file contains 2 lines:

[AutoRun]

OPEN=setup.exe

Note that the brackets around the word AutoRun are the square ones.

Thanks, I didn't think it would be so simple.

OK, but how about a Mac?

hi, steve ! excuse my ignorance, but how & where do i make AUTORUN.INF :

regards,

kyle

The easiest is in Notepad or Wordpad. You can use MS Word, but make sure you save it as a text file, not a Word doc.

To do this on a Mac, I use Toast Titanium 5. You need to create a Temporary Partition from the Utilities Menu. Put all your files on this and arrange them how you want them to appear on the CD.

Click on Other in the Toast Main window and select Mac Volume.

In the Window that appears, select the Temporary Partition. Click on the AutoStart check box and select the app you want to auto run - usually your FM Pro Developer created app. Click OK.

This works also with cross platform CDs - I use an autorun.inf file on the ISO partition and the above technique on the Mac side.
