Tom England
As FM advertises itself as working seamlessly with Microsoft Office, I would like to know how to run a script to export/merge data from records into MS Word. For example, We have a central client database, and would like to have a button linked to a script that would put the address data into an MS Word letter. Anyway this can be done??:?:
danjacoby
Well, this is interesting... Following up on the previous post, I tried to open a FileMaker document from within Word, and at the top of the file was the phrase "All play and no work makes John a good boy." repeated over and over. Seems the programmers at FileMaker, Inc. have some spare time on their hands.
mad_mickey
Why don't you do the letter in Filemaker???
Steven H. Blackwell
There was another thread on this today that I answered. Export data needed from found set from FMP as a merge document. In MS Word, open and/or create a mail merge template. Identify the exported FMP merge document as the data source. Run the merge, and the template creates the letters.
