Newbies georgeee Posted May 9, 2003 Newbies Share Posted May 9, 2003 I just set up FM5 server and have it humming along via LAN Cables. However, when we connect our Wireless IEEE cards and select HOST we do not have any access. I can ping the hosting computer with no problem and view files on it as well via the wireless. If I reconnect the LAN cable, there's no problem. I tried disabling LAN access through windows and rebooting but the problem persists. Please help... Anatoli
Did you try specifying the server IP in host dialog window?
Newbies georgeee Posted May 12, 2003 Author Newbies Share Posted May 12, 2003 Yes, I tried IP address and Computer Name, both did not work.

EddyB
Anatoli Wouldn't georgee have problems viewing hosted files through the cables as well if it was due to a port 5003 problem? Ed.
EddyB
Just a thought are you hosting on Windows? In Windows if you have 2 or more network cards installed - i.e. your Cable card and your wireless card - Filemaker will only broadcast through the card with ID 0 Ed. Newbies georgeee Posted May 14, 2003 Author Newbies Share Posted May 14, 2003 I am hosting on Windows 2000 and the Wireless is being used on a Windows 2000 laptop. How do you view/change the ID # the card is using?
