Henry Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 Hi there, i have post a question related to the title before but nobody reply, so now just want to ask again. I had post a samply file which can perform find and show the result in a portal. But the sample is using button to perform find action. Can any one teach me how to perform type-ahead find? Regards Henry Find.zip

Henry Posted July 16, 2003 Author Posted July 16, 2003 Thank you for helping, now i have another question, the sample i downloa is all find with one field (name), if i want to let user select the finding method (such as find by name, id, age, ...), is that i need to create multiple relationship and portal. Or can i done it in one portal. Regards Henry
Ugo DI LUCA Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 Hi, It still can be done within the same portal, but you'd need to ad some keys for the conditional Value List and the filtering process you're describing... Not sure which sampler was in Russ links as I recall he has more than 1 file posted here . I have the feeling one of his file was doing this too (Male/Female ?). Just check them all, they just are all "greater one to another"
Ugo DI LUCA Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 Just in case, here's a repost of one I've made sometime ago which was called "Type-Ahead" Type-Ahead.fp5.zip
